Hello,

Good Grief! I can hardly believe we are already past mid-month but I am committed to reaching out to encourage you and share what the Lord is doing and what He is saying for me to deliver to you. His Word is alive and His Spirit is very present in this season. Do you hear Him? Do you see Him? Do you know Him? He hears your cries. He sees you right where you are and He knows and calls you by name! That is Good News, my friend! No matter what you are going through, you are not alone and we have a God who is ever present in our times of trouble, afflictions, trials and grief!

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking to a Christian ministry group in South Carolina about how to help others in their times of grief. I’ve written about my walk through grief and I’ve walked others through it but this was my first time to speak and teach on the subject. I spent much time in prayer, research and writing new material prior to speaking because I believe it is important to not only tell your story to give others hope, but to also teach others how they can help others as well. My motto: “Do it–teach it–teach to teach–repeat!”

As I am currently working on writing a workbook to accompany my book, Good Grief I’m Healed, I created a pdf I shared with those in attendance at the conference in SC. I will be using this material in the workbook that can be used for small groups or individual personal growth study. As a gift, I’m sharing the pdf in this email to download. Keep in mind I wrote it as a bonus for the attendees to my workshop I spoke at but my heart knows so many people are grieving right now and perhaps this guide will help you comfort someone you know that is in need of a compassionate friend to come alongside them. If you have feedback, stories or suggestions you would like to submit to me as I write the workbook, I welcome your thoughts and comments. Please send them here.

HEALED BY THE WORD: A Fresh Monthly Word

A Pandemic of His Presence – Be a Holy Spirit Super Spreader of Hope!

I’m not sure if it was the late night pizza I ate or if it was my instinctive nature to find a teachable moment in our every day circumstances of life, but a few weeks ago, as I woke up, I was hearing in my spirit this message: It’s time to create a pandemic of His presence as viral vessels of God’s glory!

In case you are not aware, I have wonderful news for you: Everyone who receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, are offered the gift of hosting the indwelling Holy Spirit in our vessels (bodies/spirits), and in so-doing, we become carriers of His glory. As a carrier of His glory, we are conduits-ambassadors-agents of the presence of God on the earth. It is Christ in us who is the hope of glory (as found in Colossions 1:27b KJV) and “His name (Jesus) will be the hope of all the world.” (Matthew 12:21 NLT) This is truth but in order for the hope of all the world to affect the hearts of the people in the world, we who carry hope in our hearts must spread hope! We must infect others with His love. Just before Jesus ascended back to Heaven, He gave this command: Go into all the world! Make disciples – baptize them – teach them to follow my commands – and don’t forget, I’m with you always (Holy Spirit in our hearts).

It’s time to GO and spread the supernatural fruit of the Spirit to everyone around us. It’s time to be a “Supernatural Holy Spirit Super-Spreader” of love, joy, hope, and peace! We, who are in Christ, are vessels of His glory; vaccinated with His life-giving, sin-forgiving blood; injected by His Spirit (His Presence); and agents of the Father’s love. We are carriers of hope but we can only spread it if we reach out to others, love them, share our stories, forgive them, share Christ with them, teach them and walk with them.

I choose to walk by faith (not by fear) and I choose to focus on the hope of all the world because HE is our ever-present help in times of trouble. His Presence carries peace and produces power to live healed & free lives, full of hope! I can’t help but spread this good news. How about you? Lets unite as super-spreaders of God’s glory! Let’s put our trust, faith and hope in Jesus and create a pandemic of His presence!
