Hello,

It is no secret that we all have so many things crowding our thoughts these days! We seem to be “busier” and “busier” and hardly slow down. This year has been a season of back to back commitments, celebrations and a calendar that would make my head spin if I dwelt on it for too long. I’m sure you, my friend, could probably say the same thing. I’m curious. Do you find yourself saying, “If I only had time, I would________” or “When things slow down, let’s _____” or “I just don’t have time to sit and read my Bible or pray, or meet with that person, or go to church, or (you fill in the blank).”

The reason I’m bringing this up is because we are in a day where we desperately need to hear from the Lord. We need the Holy Spirit’s direction and guidance in our lives. We need to be able to discern truth from lies. We need strength to do the things we are called to do and frankly to just keep moving. It is essential that we posture ourselves before the Lord in a way that we can hear Him because He is speaking. But how many times do we shoot up a request to God and then don’t take time to listen to His answers?

He loves when we come before Him and ask for His help and for direction from His Word. He loves when we lean on His understanding and acknowledge His ways, even when we are afraid. As we dwell on Christ instead of our overwhelming plans, He gives us peace of mind, causes all things to work together for our good and He increases our faith. We are able to walk by faith instead of fear when we fill our spiritual tanks up daily. This my friend is Good News!

I encourage you to find a place to get alone with the Lord and share your heart with Him. Allow His Spirit to speak to you as you read the Bible. Pay attention to the variety and creative ways He speaks personally to you. Come before the Lord with awe and wonder in your heart. He is holy! There is no one like Him! He is worthy of all praise! Exalt Him!

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 ESV

If we do not make the time to get into His Presence, we will become vulnerable, weary and depleted of the real supernatural nourishment that sustains us at all times (in times of plenty and in times of lack or trouble). We have to make time in our schedules to spend alone time with the Lord a daily priority. If you don’t get still before Him, you’ll miss out on the strength He has for you and you won’t hear what He’s saying to you.

Over the last several weeks, I have been more intentional in asking the Holy Spirit to help me as I prepare for appointments with His dear ones that are struggling, need encouragement or simply need someone to share their hearts with. Sometimes it has been overwhelming as I’ve tried to prepare what I will say or do, or not say or do. So, I’ve decided to do the ONE THING that is most important to do in my preparations and the Holy Spirit has been faithful to answer my requests.

Recently, I asked a specific question in my prayer journal and the Lord gave a direct reply. It is a fresh Word from The Word I believe He wants me to share with you who are interested in hearing it. You’ll find it in the article below. The Lord is still speaking and He desires a personal relationship with all who believe in His Son. He is faithful to His Word and He has a Word for you and for me today. Do you hear Him? Want to?

As always…If you have a specific prayer request you’d like to me to pray, I’d be honored. Just reply to this email.

God bless you!

I Asked the Question and This Was His Response

I have several different places I often go to get alone with the Lord. One of these places is in my backyard. I find myself rotating from one cozy spot to another but a year ago, you might remember (if you’ve been reading my Mid-Month eNewsletters), He spoke to my spirit to meet with Him in the garden. So, it’s no wonder I often gravitate to the gardens to enter into His Presence.

The back story that lead to my question

A few weeks ago, I had just received a new prayer journal as a gift, and I was expecting to hear from the Holy Spirit so to the backyard I went armed with my morning coffee, my Bible, a pen and my journal.

I found myself reading Philippians 1:6 “And I am certain that God, who began a good work within you will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

Afterwards, as I was praying, I was reminded the day before, I had heard the Lord say in my spirit these words
