Hello,

Today, as I write to you from the beach front home my mother-in-law rents every June to bring the extended family together, my heart is filled with joy! Joy is a word that describes an inner settled state of contentment, confidence, peace and hope, despite the circumstances happening around you. True joy cannot be manufactured or learned; however, it can be poured into your spirit as a fruit given by the Holy Spirit to those who are in Christ Jesus. Jesus says we will be known by our fruit and we are to judge by the fruit. Joy is a desired fruit and it helps sustain us in times of trouble, and it overflows out of us in times of triumph.

Over the last year, we have been given many opportunities to allow joy to sustain us and overflow out of us to those who desperately need to receive the confident hope that carries us through uncertainty. Many are finding themselves fearful, anxious, or depressed, but friends… we have a peace that guards our hearts and minds, and a hope that heals, delivers us from all fear, and that that allows us to show gentleness and kindness when we are faced with trials, including differences of opinions and personal social convictions. You may be thinking, “What are you talking about? I don’t have that hope or peace.” The good news is you have access to it. It is found in Jesus Christ and Paul tells us how to obtain it by starting with JOY! Read Philippians 4:4-7, “Rejoice (Be joyful) in the Lord always…be anxious for nothing…but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus!” The hope of peace of mind begins by rejoicing in the Lord! We can choose to be joyful in our circumstances and let hope rise up in our hearts so we can keep our minds stayed on Christ in spite of what we see. He will guard your heart and mind and will sustain you. I am a living testimony of this wonder working powerful truth and I count it ALL JOY!

Do you have this hope and joy? If not…MAKE TODAY THE DAY you receive it. Call out the name of Jesus and put your hope and trust in Him! It’s a WIN-WIN alternative to anxiety, depression, fear and hopelessness and I promise you will be glad you made the choice. Your choice will produce joy in your life!

As always…If you have a specific prayer request you’d like to me to pray, I’d be honored. Just reply to this email.

HEALED BY THE WORD: A Fresh Monthly Word

HIS INSEPARABLE LOVE PLEADS FOR ME AND SUSTAINS MY LIFE-FOREVER!

Recently, while spending time with the Lord in prayer and in reading the Word, I found myself pondering one of my favorite passages of scripture. In Romans 8:31-39, Paul challenges us to answer this question: Who can separate us from the love of God? So, I got out my prayer journal and pen and started writing out notes and insights the Holy Spirit was pouring into me and before I realized it, I had written a segment I will be using in the companion guide book I’m working on that will accompany the book: Good Grief I’m Healed. It will be for individual or group deeper study and personal application. One thing I have found is when the Holy Spirit speaks wisdom, it is not just for the hearer, but is for the receiver to share with others. I have already shared this message with a group of young adults and I believe it is for you too. I’m linking the article for you here. The inseparable love of God is pleading for us. What does that even mean? I hope you will gain insight and hope from this fresh monthly Word.

Do you realize that when we are in Christ, we receive the fullness of God, poured out in us through His Spirit? God, the Father/Son/Holy Spirit comes to dwell and reside in our hearts. Our spirits are joined together to be one with His and we are inseparable from the Love of God. We are His and He is ours. We are safe and secure in Christ alone. He delivers healing and life to our bodies and souls. As we sing His praises and remember who we are in Him, we rise up in confident assurance that we are beloved sons and daughters of the Most-High God and He will not tolerate the enemy coming against His kids.

If Christ be for us, who can come against us!? NO ONE! NEVER!
