Hello!
Lately, I’ve heard several people who love Jesus and are in relationship with Him, tell me they are struggling with finding their purpose, and they are requesting prayer because they are experiencing anxiety over this. It doesn’t surprise me that Christians are experiencing this subtle attack, as the enemy of our souls wants us to get distracted from God’s purpose and causes us to feel we are not following God’s will and that we must “do more, be more, etc.” The Devil is a liar and tells us it’s OUR purpose we must find. Nope!
If you are IN CHRIST, you are a beloved child of God (sons and daughters) and I have GOOD NEWS FOR YOU regarding your purpose. The Father’s original (unchanging) purpose was to have RELATIONSHIP with mankind, uniting our spirits with His Spirit, filling the earth with the glory of God, because of HIS great love for us! When sin separated us from Him, God purposed for restoration & sent His Son to redeem and restore us back to His heart through the shed blood of Jesus. His purpose was accomplished on the cross. When we receive Jesus in our hearts, we are restored to the heart and love of the Father, and we enjoy relationship through His Spirit.
Our purpose suddenly becomes His purpose and with purpose, and on purpose, if we will tune in to His Spirit within us, HE WILL WORK HIS PURPOSES In and through us. There is NO ANXIETY, fear, worry or striving when we allow the Holy Spirit to direct and guide our steps, give Spiritual wisdom and understanding, and produce His fruit in our lives. This is our purpose: To let the Lord work HIS PURPOSE through us as we love Him, love them and abide in His Word!
A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon something I had written years ago, and I believe the Lord would like me to share it with you. You were beautifully purposed by God to be the object of His affection for you, and He desires a relationship WITH you. As we abide in Christ, He will fulfill that purpose He put within you. THAT, MY FRIEND, IS GOOD NEWS!
GOD STORY: JESUS SHOWED UP ON THE SOUTHWEST FLIGHT!
Our son, Garrison, sharing the Word of God on the airplane, because he heard the Holy Spirit speak, “If you let me show you MY seat, you’ll see Me move.” On SW Airlines, you choose your seat. Garrison was tired on his way home to OK from TN, after attending a Christian conference this month.
Planning to choose a window seat and sleep, he was suddenly made aware the Lord had something else in mind. Garrison surrendered and allowed the Holy Spirit to inspire an isle seat at the back of the plane. When the man he sat next to asked Garrison a direct question that would give opportunity for a testimony of Jesus to be shared, Garrison said, “Do you want the short answer or do you want the truth?” In response to the request for truth, THE TRUTH was given, received by Isaiah AND by Morgan who sat across the isle from our son. She & others tuned in, requested prayer, asked questions, and heard the truth of the gospel for over 2 hours. Morgan took this photo and a video, unbeknownst to Garrison, though she later asked permission to post it. What she had to say was nothing short of a miracle.
